DRC creates web-based insurance solutions for internal usage among clients in the homeowners and motor vehicle space. Using the .NET framework in C# and Javascript, my role at DRC was primarily driving new implementations with a full-stack approach to expand the reach of the system. Through an agile methodology, my team and I delivered new features and upgrades to the system efficiently. Extra responsibilities include general production support and mentoring of new hires.

STEM Education Research Assistant (Part-time), Curriculum Research & Development Group, College of Education

CRDG is an organized research unit in the College of Education at the University of Hawai‘i Mānoa. Currently working on a research project funded by the National Science Foundation that is aimed at broadening the Native Hawaiian Engineering faculty at UHM. Also helped with Hawaii GenCyber 2016 and created course resources for teacher education.

Summer Intern (Full-time), Laboratory for Advanced Visualization/Applications

LAVA (Laboratory for Advanced Visualization/Applications) is a lab run by Jason Leigh, a professor and researcher at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. Using cutting-edge technologies like the CyberCANOE, the HTC Vive, the Microsoft Hololens, and more, the lab aims to create developments in big data visualization techniques. During my time there, I contributed to a variety of projects using Javascript skills, video making/editing skills, and transcription skills.

  • Created high-quality video documentation for SAGE2 technology
  • Contributed to development of SIEGE, a simple video game for the CreaTable coded only in Javascript
  • Transcribed lengthy clips for the Articulate project
